Development P5 lessons

P5-L01 · Poverty and Inequality — Analysing Social Disparities

الفَقْرُ وَعَدَمُ المُسَاوَاةِ — تَحْلِيلُ التَّفَاوُتَاتِ الاجْتِمَاعِيَّةِ

Build the P5 concession-refutation architecture — concede with صَحِيحٌ أَنَّ + indicative, refute with غَيْرَ أَنَّ — over poverty and inequality, with a Type 2 counterfactual and a necessity subjunctive.

P5-L02 · Migration and Displacement — A Global Crisis in Arabic

الهِجْرَةُ وَالتَّهْجِيرُ — أَزْمَةٌ عَالَمِيَّةٌ بِالعَرَبِيَّةِ

Report displacement with the humanitarian passives يُهَجَّرُ / يُرَحَّلُ / يُودَعُ, which centre the displaced person, and analyse the crisis with both conditional types.

P5-L03 · Gender Equality — Rights, Progress and Challenges

المُسَاوَاةُ بَيْنَ الجِنْسَيْنِ — الحُقُوقُ وَالتَّقَدُّمُ وَالتَّحَدِّيَاتُ

Extend the subjunctive to insistence, demand and call — يَصِرُّ عَلَى أَنْ، يُطَالِبُ بِأَنْ، يَدْعُو إِلَى أَنْ — in a balanced gender-equality argument.

P5-L04 · Digital Society — Social Media, Privacy and the Digital Divide

المُجْتَمَعُ الرَّقْمِيُّ — وَسَائِلُ التَّوَاصُلِ وَالخُصُوصِيَّةُ وَالفَجْوَةُ الرَّقْمِيَّةُ

Push the subjunctive to prohibition and permission — يَمْنَعُ أَنْ، يُبِيحُ أَنْ — over digital society, redeploying 2028 vocabulary in a social context.

P5-L05 · Global Justice — International Responsibility and the Arab World

العَدَالَةُ العَالَمِيَّةُ — المَسْؤُولِيَّةُ الدَّوْلِيَّةُ وَالعَالَمُ العَرَبِيُّ

Close an argument with the formal connectors وَبِنَاءً عَلَى مَا سَبَقَ and وَخُلَاصَةُ القَوْلِ, add the refusal trigger يَرْفُضُ أَنْ, and use international-law passives.

P5-L06 · Youth and Society — The Arab Generation's Challenges and Power

الشَّبَابُ وَالمُجْتَمَعُ — تَحَدِّيَاتُ جِيلِ الشَّبَابِ العَرَبِيِّ وَقُدْرَتُهُ

Give an argument historical depth with the intergenerational past perfect (كَانَتِ الأَجْيَالُ السَّابِقَةُ قَدْ …) and يُعِيدُ تَعْرِيفَ, over youth-empowerment vocabulary.

P5-L07 · Constructing a Balanced Argument — The Art of Arabic Essay Writing

بِنَاءُ الحُجَّةِ المُتَوَازِنَةِ — فَنُّ الكِتَابَةِ المَقَالِيَّةِ العَرَبِيَّةِ

Assemble the full argumentative essay: thesis → evidence → concession (صَحِيحٌ أَنَّ) → refutation (غَيْرَ أَنَّ) → conclusion (وَبِنَاءً عَلَى مَا سَبَقَ + subjunctive).

Open lesson

P5-L08 · Reading — Social Issues Texts

القِرَاءَةُ — نُصُوصُ القَضَايَا الاجْتِمَاعِيَّةِ

Read social-issues texts (R1–R4), identify the concession-refutation architecture (R3), and choose concession-indicative versus subjunctive in a Q4 gap-fill.

Open lesson

P5-L09 · Writing — Social Issues and Opinions (Paper 4 Extended Writing)

الكِتَابَةُ — القَضَايَا الاجْتِمَاعِيَّةُ وَالآرَاءُ (كِتَابَةٌ مُوَسَّعَةٌ)

Write the programme's most demanding text: a 150–165 word argumentative essay carrying all nine P5 Range markers — reported speech, both conditionals, subjunctive triggers, concession, refutation and a conclusion connector.

Open lesson

P5-L10 · Listening — Social Issues and Opinions Texts

الاسْتِمَاعُ — نُصُوصُ القَضَايَا الاجْتِمَاعِيَّةِ وَالآرَاءِ

Follow an argument by its structure: hear صَحِيحٌ أَنَّ as a concession, غَيْرَ أَنَّ as the refutation, a trigger for a subjunctive and لَوْ for a Type 2 — and predict what comes next.

Open lesson

P5-L11 · Consolidation — Speaking Preparation and P5 Complete Review

تَرْسِيخُ الوَحْدَةِ — إِعْدَادُ التَّحَدُّثِ وَالمُرَاجَعَةُ الشَّامِلَةُ

Master the P5 error zones — أَنْ versus أَنَّ, and the indicative after صَحِيحٌ أَنَّ — and use the full concession-refutation and subjunctive system spontaneously.

Open lesson

P5-L12 · P5 Assessment — Social Issues and Opinions

تَقْيِيمُ الوَحْدَةِ — القَضَايَا الاجْتِمَاعِيَّةُ وَالآرَاءُ

The 60-mark unit assessment across all four skills — concession-refutation architecture, extended subjunctive triggers, formal conclusion connectors, both conditional types and humanitarian passives — with a full mark scheme.
