Exam Practice Centre مَرْكَزُ التَّدَرُّبِ عَلَى الِامْتِحَانِ

Understand the four papers, practise deliberately, analyse every error and return to the exact skill that needs repair.

01

Orient

Past papers are evidence, not teaching الوَرَقَةُ دَلِيلٌ وَلَيْسَتْ دَرْسًا

Completing paper after paper does not guarantee improvement. A useful attempt ends with one precise diagnosis, one repair activity and one reattempt.

🎯

Core

Know the format, timing and purpose of each paper.

🧭

Develop

Use the mark scheme to locate the exact reason a mark was lost.

🌟

Stretch

Prove improvement through a similar reattempt, not by rereading the answer.

The Miftah cycleAttempt → mark → classify → repair → reattempt → record the new evidence.
02

Know the assessment

The four papers الأَوْرَاقُ الأَرْبَعُ

Paper 1 · Listening 40 marks

Approx. 50 minutesIncluding transfer time

Listen for gist, precise details, opinions, changes and distractors across short and longer recordings.

Repair listening foundations

Paper 2 · Reading 40 marks

1 hourSix question groups

Navigate pictures, notices, messages, gap-fills, matching tasks and longer texts using exact evidence.

Repair reading navigation

Paper 3 · Speaking 40 marks

Approx. 10 minutes10 minutes' preparation

Complete one five-task role play and two topic conversations in Modern Standard Arabic.

Repair speaking technique

Paper 4 · Writing 40 marks

1 hourThree writing tasks

Complete form filling, a directed response and an extended response with accurate task coverage and controlled language.

Repair writing planning
Current-format rule: use the 2028 specimen materials as the controlling structural model. Older papers may still provide valuable language practice, but task types, mark totals or procedures may differ.
Check the date and format before you begin: older papers remain useful, but some task types, marks or procedures may differ from the current syllabus.
03

Learn from the attempt

The six-step paper cycle دَوْرَةُ التَّدَرُّبِ

1

Set the purpose

Choose one paper, section or question type and decide whether the attempt is guided or timed.

2

Attempt honestly

Follow the selected conditions. Do not reveal the transcript, answer or model early.

3

Mark accurately

Use the authorised mark scheme and record question-level evidence, not only the total.

4

Classify the error

Name the cause: vocabulary, grammar, task reading, evidence, distractor, timing or checking.

5

Repair deliberately

Complete one linked Mastery activity or a short focused drill addressing that cause.

6

Reattempt

Use a parallel item or the same skill later. Record whether the gap actually closed.

04

Choose the right conditions

Four practice modes أَرْبَعَةُ أَنْماطٍ لِلتَّدَرُّبِ

Learn Mode

Untimed, with strategy reminders and feedback after each small step.

Practice Mode

Untimed, without hints during the attempt; mark after a section.

Exam Mode

Official-style timing, no hints and no answers until the end.

Repair Mode

Focus only on the weak question type, then reattempt a parallel task.

Choose deliberatelyUse Exam Mode only after the language and strategy are sufficiently secure. Timing an insecure skill repeatedly usually rehearses the same mistake.
05

Interactive tool

Practice timer مُؤَقِّتُ التَّدَرُّبِ

06

Record evidence

Four-paper score dashboard لَوْحَةُ الدَّرَجَاتِ

Enter the latest score for each paper. This is a revision profile, not an official grade prediction.

0 / 160

Enter evidence from a completed attempt, then identify the weakest paper and weakest question type.

07

Diagnose precisely

Personal error log سِجِلُّ الأَخْطَاءِ

Vocabulary gap

A word or phrase blocked understanding or production.

Grammar or agreement

The intended meaning was clear, but the form was inaccurate.

Question misread

The response answered a different purpose, person or time frame.

Evidence missed

A precise detail, negative, contrast or final decision was overlooked.

Distractor selected

An option was mentioned or partly true but not fully supported.

Task incomplete

A bullet point, transaction or required detail was omitted.

Timing problem

Too much time was spent on one item or the final check was lost.

Checking error

The correct response was known but transferred, spelled or selected incorrectly.

Act on the diagnosis

Targeted repair routes مَسَارَاتُ الإِصْلَاحِ

“I miss details or choose traps.”

Return to LR-01 and LR-03 for evidence, negatives, contrast and distractor control.

Open LR-03

“My spoken answers are too short.”

Return to SM-01, then practise role plays or conversations under short timing.

Open SM-01

“My writing loses content or accuracy.”

Use WM-01 for task coverage, WM-02 for development and WM-03 for editing.

Official practice materials

Specimen and past papers مَوَادُّ التَّدَرُّبِ الرَّسْمِيَّةُ

Use the current public specimen materials first. Older papers can provide additional language practice, but always check whether their format matches the syllabus you are studying.

Final check

Exam-practice readiness جَاهِزِيَّةُ التَّدَرُّبِ

1. What should happen immediately after accurate marking?
2. How should an older paper be presented?
3. What completes the feedback cycle?
Your next actionChoose one short section, set the appropriate mode, attempt it honestly, record one exact error and complete one repair before returning to another paper.
