Objectives and visible success

Today you will

  • Plan a four-paragraph environmental article that places each subjunctive trigger explicitly.
  • Use لِكَي for purpose, a volition verb for intention, and an impersonal expression for necessity.
  • Integrate both conditional types, the past perfect and reported speech.
  • Reach 145-160 words with nine or more distinct grammar structures.

You can show success when…

Verb markerfinal fatḥa (ـَ)نَحْمِيَ · يَنْجَحَ
1
The three triggers are three separate Range marks

For the first time, purpose (لِكَي نَحْمِيَ), volition (يَهْدِفُ المَشْرُوعُ إِلَى أَنْ يُقَلِّلَ) and necessity (يَنْبَغِي أَنْ نَسْتَثْمِرَ) each earn their own Range mark. A P4 essay that uses only one type cannot reach full Range — the balance of all three is what top-grade Arabic looks like.

2
Every subjunctive verb keeps its final fatḥa

After any trigger the verb takes a fatḥa: لِكَي نَحْمِيَ, not نَحْمِي; أَنْ يُقَلِّلَ, not يُقَلِّلُ. The ـَ marker is the single highest accuracy criterion in P4, so mark it on every trigger verb before you submit.

Write a 145-160 word built/natural-world article. Open with a past-perfect background, then place all three subjunctive triggers — a purpose clause (لِكَي), a volition clause (يَهْدِفُ / يَرْجُو / يَخْشَى أَنْ) and a necessity clause (يَنْبَغِي / يَتَطَلَّبُ أَنْ) — and add a Type 1 recommendation, a Type 2 reflection and a formal connector.

Success checklist

  • A past-perfect background opening (كَانَ قَدْ).
  • All three subjunctive triggers, each with the final fatḥa on its verb.
  • A Type 1 recommendation and a Type 2 reflection (with the لَـ result).
  • Reported speech, a formal connector and 145-160 words.
