A grammatically possible sentence is not enough: it must describe the picture or clock shown.
Subjects and timetables tell you what you study and when. Classroom objects give you the language to prepare, ask, answer and work independently.
Build secure vocabulary first, then use it in complete sentences across all four skills.
Independent learners can use every response area, check interactive answers and reveal the transcript only after attempting the listening task.
Retrieve subjects, timetable language and familiar possession patterns.
The first group contains the official classroom bank. The second group expands it with the objects students regularly need for school and independent study.
Official classroom vocabulary
Use for written classwork
Feminine: use هَذِهِ
A classroom material
Paper or digital dictionary
General writing instrument
Use هَذَا with the singular
Feminine ending ة
A case for pens and pencils
Also means an office in other contexts
Feminine: هَذِهِ مِمْحَاةٌ
وَرَقَةٌ means one sheet
The classroom context usually makes the intended meaning clear. عَلَى مَكْتَبِي كِتَابٌ means “There is a book on my desk.”
Move between Arabic, meaning, object type and classroom use.
The demonstrative must match the gender of the singular noun, not the gender of the speaker.
Use هَذَا with masculine singular objects: كِتَابٌ، دَفْتَرٌ، قَامُوسٌ، مَكْتَبٌ، حَاسُوبٌ.
Use هَذِهِ with feminine singular objects: حَقِيبَةٌ، سَبُّورَةٌ، مِقْلَمَةٌ، مِمْحَاةٌ، طَاوِلَةٌ.
The ending ـة is a strong feminine clue, but always learn the word with its model sentence.
Choose the accurate noun, demonstrative and agreement pattern.
Use عِنْدِي for “I have” and change the ending when asking one male or one female listener.
عِنْدِي قَلَمٌ وَكِتَابٌ.
I have a pen and a book.هَلْ عِنْدَكَ قَامُوسٌ؟
Do you have a dictionary?هَلْ عِنْدَكِ مِسْطَرَةٌ؟
Do you have a ruler?لَا، لَيْسَ عِنْدِي غِرَاءٌ.
No, I do not have glue.Choose the accurate person ending, object and positive or negative answer.
Combine a location phrase with a classroom object. Accurate location turns a word list into useful communication.
فِي حَقِيبَتِي كِتَابٌ، وَعَلَى مَكْتَبِي حَاسُوبٌ، وَتَحْتَ الكُرْسِيِّ حَقِيبَةٌ.
Notice that the place phrase comes first and the object follows.
قَلَمٌ وَاحِدٌ · قَلَمَانِ · ثَلَاثَةُ أَقْلَامٍ
مِسْطَرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ · مِسْطَرَتَانِ · ثَلَاثُ مَسَاطِرَ
