Assembling the P3 range with both conditionals

تَرْكِيبُ النِّطَاقِ مَعَ نَوْعَيِ الشَّرْطِ

A synthesis: place a Type 1 recommendation and a Type 2 reflection, and weave in the past perfect, reported speech and tourism verbs.

1Meaning

What does the structure communicate?

2Form

Which word or ending changes?

3Agreement

What must match the noun or person?

4Transfer

Can you use it with new vocabulary?

كُنْتُ قَدْ قَرَأْتُ عَنِ المَدِينَةِ، لٰكِنَّ الوَاقِعَ فَاقَ خَيَالِي
What to notice

Past-perfect narrative opening.

إِذَا زُرْتَ فَاسَ، سَتَنْبَهِرُ بِأَزِقَّتِهَا
What to notice

Type 1 recommendation.

لَوْ خَصَّصْتُ وَقْتًا أَطْوَلَ، لَرَأَيْتُ المَزِيدَ
What to notice

Type 2 reflection.

1

Type 1 recommendation

إِذَا + past → سَـ

A forward-looking recommendation to the reader.

إِذَا زُرْتَ فَاسَ، سَتَنْبَهِرُ بِأَزِقَّتِهَا
2

Type 2 reflection

لَوْ + past → لَـ

A backward-looking reflection or regret.

لَوْ خَصَّصْتُ وَقْتًا أَطْوَلَ، لَرَأَيْتُ المَزِيدَ
3

Narrative and citation

1
The two conditionals earn two separate marks

A Type 1 (إِذَا زُرْتَ الأُرْدُنَّ، سَتَنْبَهِرُ) looks forward and recommends. A Type 2 (لَوْ خَصَّصْتُ وَقْتًا أَطْوَلَ، لَرَأَيْتُ المَزِيدَ) looks back and reflects. A Paper 4 text with only one type cannot get full Range — the balance of both is what skilled writing looks like.

2
Map a structure to each paragraph

P1 a past-perfect narrative opening with sensory detail; P2 a Type 1 recommendation for the reader; P3 a Type 2 reflection on what you would have done differently; P4 a forward-looking conclusion with a formal connector.

Sentence-building and transformation studio

The guided builder develops flexible sentence construction. The three independent tasks then test different skills: grammatical transformation, meaning and coherence, and original sentence production.

Combinatorial builder studio

Build a range-rich article line from a narrative opening, a recommendation and a reflection.

This guided builder accepts 27 accurate combinations. Build 3 different sentences, changing one meaningful chunk each time. Compare the grammar and meaning before moving to the independent tasks.

Original sentence

إِذَا زُرْتَ فَاسَ، سَتَنْبَهِرُ؛ وَإِذَا بَقِيتَ أَطْوَلَ، سَتَرَى المَزِيدَ.

Transformation challenge

Fix the Type 2 result

Repair the reflection so it uses the لَـ prefix.
Original sentence

Accuracy repair workshop

Strong learners do not only recognise an error: they identify the system and repair it.

إِذَا زُرْتَ فَاسَ، سَتَنْبَهِرُ؛ وَإِذَا بَقِيتَ أَطْوَلَ، سَتَرَى المَزِيدَ.

إِذَا زُرْتَ فَاسَ، سَتَنْبَهِرُ؛ وَلَوْ بَقِيتُ أَطْوَلَ، لَرَأَيْتُ المَزِيدَ.

Range rewards one Type 1 and one Type 2, not two Type 1 conditionals.

لَوْ حَجَزْتُ مُبَكِّرًا، سَحَصَلْتُ عَلَى سِعْرٍ أَرْخَصَ.

لَوْ حَجَزْتُ مُبَكِّرًا، لَحَصَلْتُ عَلَى سِعْرٍ أَرْخَصَ.

A Type 2 result takes لَـ, not سَـ.

قَالَ الدَّلِيلُ أَنَّ الرَّبِيعَ أَفْضَلُ مَوْسِمٍ.

قَالَ الدَّلِيلُ إِنَّ الرَّبِيعَ أَفْضَلُ مَوْسِمٍ.

قَالَ takes إِنَّ.
