- Speak for up to one minute about school life.
- Plan and write a connected 6–8 sentence paragraph.
- Combine subjects, opinions, reasons, days, routines and rules.
- Check meaning, agreement, spelling and connective choice.
What you will demonstrateمَاذَا سَتُثْبِتُ؟
This lesson does not add a new grammar system. It helps you select, organise and control language already learned across F4.
- I can name subjects and give a justified preference.
- I can describe my timetable and one part of my school day.
- I can use at least three useful connectives.
- I can improve one sentence after checking it carefully.

My school and school life
- School
أَدْرُسُ فِي مَدْرَسَةٍ مُتَوَسِّطَةِ الحَجْمِ فِي لَنْدَنَ، وَفِيهَا مَكْتَبَةٌ جَمِيلَةٌ وَمَلْعَبٌ كَبِيرٌ.
- Subjects
أَدْرُسُ العَرَبِيَّةَ وَالإِنْجِلِيزِيَّةَ وَالرِّيَاضِيَّاتِ وَالعُلُومَ وَالتَّارِيخَ.
- Opinion + reason
أُفَضِّلُ اللُّغَةَ العَرَبِيَّةَ لِأَنَّهَا مُهِمَّةٌ وَمُمْتِعَةٌ، وَلَكِنَّ الرِّيَاضِيَّاتِ صَعْبَةٌ أَحْيَانًا.
- Timetable
فِي يَوْمِ الاِثْنَيْنِ أَدْرُسُ العُلُومَ فِي الحِصَّةِ الأُولَى، ثُمَّ أَدْرُسُ التَّارِيخَ بَعْدَ الفُسْحَةِ.
- Routine
أَبْدَأُ الدِّرَاسَةَ فِي السَّاعَةِ التَّاسِعَةِ وَأَنْتَهِي فِي السَّاعَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ، وَبَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ أَرْجِعُ إِلَى البَيْتِ.
- Rule
فِي مَدْرَسَتِي يَجِبُ أَنْ نَحْتَرِمَ المُعَلِّمِينَ، وَلَا يَجُوزُ أَنْ نَسْتَعْمِلَ الهَاتِفَ فِي الدَّرْسِ.
- People
مُعَلِّمَتِي مُسَاعِدَةٌ وَزُمَلَائِي وَدُودُونَ.
- Conclusion
فِي رَأْيِي، الحَيَاةُ المَدْرَسِيَّةُ مُفِيدَةٌ لِأَنَّنِي أَتَعَلَّمُ أَشْيَاءَ جَدِيدَةً كُلَّ يَوْمٍ.
Does every sentence add information?
Remove unnecessary repetition and vague phrases. Precise detail makes a short paragraph effective.
Which structures are varied?
The model uses present-tense verbs, opinions, reasons, times, sequence, a rule, description and a conclusion.
Where could errors occur?
Check subject spelling, adjective agreement, reason pronouns, verb forms, days and time expressions.
Build your speaking and writing planاِبْنِ خُطَّةَ التَّحَدُّثِ وَالكِتَابَةِ
Write notes, not complete sentences. Your plan should help you speak naturally and write independently.
Match each sentence to its purposeصِلْ كُلَّ جُمْلَةٍ بِهَدَفِهَا
This checks whether you can recognise the job a sentence performs inside a connected school text.
Eight-question purpose match
Choose the most precise function.
Complete a focused dictationأَكْمِلْ إِمْلَاءً مُرَكَّزًا
Ask a teacher or partner to read each sentence twice. Listen for the complete phrase before writing.
- First reading: listen only.
- Second reading: write the whole sentence.
- Compare with the script only after both attempts.
- Circle one spelling or agreement point to revisit.
Reveal sentence 1
أُفَضِّلُ اللُّغَةَ العَرَبِيَّةَ لِأَنَّهَا مُفِيدَةٌ وَمُمْتِعَةٌ.
Reveal sentence 2
فِي يَوْمِ الخَمِيسِ أَدْرُسُ العُلُومَ، ثُمَّ أَذْهَبُ إِلَى المَكْتَبَةِ.
Deliver a developed school talkقَدِّمْ حَدِيثًا مُتَطَوِّرًا عَنِ المَدْرَسَةِ
Use your plan as a prompt, not a script. Aim for clear, connected meaning rather than speed.
Describe your school life.
- What is your school like?
- Which subjects do you study?
- Which subject do you prefer, and why?
- Describe one day or part of your routine.
- State one school rule and your overall opinion.

Write a connected school paragraphاُكْتُبْ فِقْرَةً مُتَرَابِطَةً عَنِ المَدْرَسَةِ
Write 6–8 purposeful sentences. Include a school description, subjects, a justified opinion, timetable or routine detail, a rule and a concluding view.
Write the paragraph on screen. Leave visible spacing between ideas so that you can edit accurately.
Write the paragraph on lined paper. Underline three connectives and circle one justified opinion.
Review meaning, range and accuracyرَاجِعِ المَعْنَى وَالتَّنَوُّعَ وَالدِّقَّةَ
Evidence matters. Identify the exact word, phrase or sentence that supports each judgement.
Rewrite the sentence that improved most
Complete the productive-skills checkpointأَكْمِلْ تَحَدِّيَ مَهَارَتَيِ التَّحَدُّثِ وَالكِتَابَةِ
The final check samples planning, connective choice, accurate reasons, rules, sentence purpose and editing decisions.
Sixteen-question final checkpoint
Aim for at least 14/16 and use the explanations to repair gaps.
Bring evidence, not perfection
Keep your final paragraph and your speaking self-assessment. In the unit assessment, use the same habits: read the whole task, plan briefly, answer every part and check one high-risk accuracy feature.
