One vital distinction

لَا يَجِبُ أَنْ means it is not necessary to. It does not normally mean “must not”.

لَا يَجُوزُ أَنْ means it is not permitted to / must not.

Control “must” and “must not”اِسْتَخْدِمْ «يَجِبُ» وَ«لَا يَجُوزُ» بِدِقَّةٍ

Both structures are followed by أَنْ and a present-tense verb. Learn the complete phrase as one communication pattern.

Obligation · must

يَجِبُ أَنْ تَحْتَرِمَ الْمُعَلِّمِينَ.

You must respect the teachers.

The modal stays the same. The action verb changes for one male, one female or a group.

Read signs and school noticesاِقْرَأِ اللَّافِتَاتِ وَالإِعْلَانَاتِ الْمَدْرَسِيَّةَ

Notices often use a short noun phrase instead of a complete modal sentence.

اِسْتِعْمَالُ الْهَاتِفِ مَمْنُوعٌUsing a phone is forbidden.
اِسْتِعْمَالُ الْحَاسُوبِ مَسْمُوحٌUsing the computer is allowed.
!اللِّبَاسُ الْمَدْرَسِيُّ إِلْزَامِيٌّSchool uniform is compulsory.
?النَّشَاطُ بَعْدَ الْمَدْرَسَةِ اِخْتِيَارِيٌّThe after-school activity is optional.
