Writing a Short Personal Introduction كِتَابَةُ تَعْرِيفٍ شَخْصِيٍّ قَصِيرٍ

Turn personal facts into accurate form answers and a polished Arabic introduction. Plan first, connect your ideas, check the detail, and improve the draft before you finish.

Multi-session lessonWriting-led · all four skillsFully vowelled Foundation models

Retrieve · organise · prepare

Gather the language already learned in F2اِجْمَعْ لُغَةَ التَّعْرِيفِ بِالنَّفْسِ

This lesson does not begin from an empty page. It brings together greetings, name, age, origin, residence, nationality, languages, interests and polite closing language.

By the end, I can…
  • understand and complete common Arabic personal-information fields;
  • write a four- to six-line fully vowelled introduction;
  • join and improve sentences with وَ، أَيْضًا، ثُمَّ، لِأَنَّ;
  • use a clear greeting and polite ending;
  • check content, spelling, gender and punctuation before finishing.
Challenge routes
Core

Complete the form and write four accurate sentences using the model.

Develop

Write five or six connected sentences and use at least three connectives.

Stretch

Write 50–70 words, add a reason with لِأَنَّ, and edit independently.

Eight-question introduction retrieval

Choose the accurate phrase before you begin the writing process.

Complete a personal-information form accuratelyأَكْمِلِ اسْتِمَارَةَ المَعْلُومَاتِ الشَّخْصِيَّةِ

A form usually needs a word, short phrase or number—not a full paragraph. First identify the field, then transfer the exact detail.

Form strategy
  1. Scan the label. Is it asking for a name, age, nationality, place or language?
  2. Copy only the relevant information. Do not add an unrelated sentence.
  3. Keep agreement accurate. Maryam uses مِصْرِيَّةٌ, not مِصْرِيٌّ.
  4. Check script and numerals. Both 13 and ١٣ may appear in practical contexts.
  5. Never enter real private contact details on a public learning page. Use a fictional telephone number or email address.

Complete the form from the fictional identity card. The typed route can be checked automatically; the drawing and paper routes can be compared with the model.

Lift a list of facts into connected proseاِرْبِطِ المَعْلُومَاتِ فِي نَصٍّ مُتَّصِلٍ

A good introduction does more than place one isolated sentence after another. Connectives show how ideas belong together.

وَand

Joins related information.

أَنَا مِنْ سُورِيَا، وَأَسْكُنُ فِي لَنْدَنَ.
أَيْضًاalso

Adds another fact.

أَفْهَمُ الفَرَنْسِيَّةَ أَيْضًا.
ثُمَّthen

Shows sequence.

أَكْتُبُ مَسَوَّدَةً، ثُمَّ أُرَاجِعُهَا.
لِأَنَّbecause

Introduces a reason.

أُحِبُّ القِرَاءَةَ لِأَنَّهَا مُفِيدَةٌ.
وَلَكِنْbut · Stretch

Adds a contrast.

أَتَكَلَّمُ العَرَبِيَّةَ، وَلَكِنْ كِتَابَتِي تَحْتَاجُ إِلَى تَدْرِيبٍ.
Foundation rule

Use لِأَنَّ as a complete modelled chunk

At this stage, copy a reliable pattern such as أُحِبُّ القِرَاءَةَ لِأَنَّهَا مُفِيدَةٌ. A fuller analysis of attached pronouns after لِأَنَّ belongs in later grammar study.

Read your writing aloud to test itاِقْرَأْ كِتَابَتَكَ بِصَوْتٍ مَسْمُوعٍ

Reading aloud is an editing tool. It helps you hear missing words, repeated sentence openings and places where punctuation should create a pause.

First reading

Meaning

Can a listener identify your name, age, origin, residence, languages and interest?

Second reading

Flow

Pause at full stops and commas. Make وَ، أَيْضًا، ثُمَّ، لِأَنَّ sound connected to the idea.

Third reading

Accuracy

Listen for long vowels, final feminine forms and the age phrase ending سَنَةً.

Read-aloud rehearsal

Read either Yusuf’s model, Layla’s profile, or your own draft. Repeat it once after making one improvement.
