Writing technique
Write about 130–140 words: an article for a school magazine on “Do social media help or harm young people?” Open with a hook, state your opinion, persuade with reasons and examples, and conclude.
هَلْ تَتَخَيَّلُ يَوْمًا بِلَا هَاتِفٍ؟ لَا شَكَّ أَنَّ وَسَائِلَ التَّوَاصُلِ صَارَتْ جُزْءًا مِنْ حَيَاتِنَا. صَحِيحٌ أَنَّهَا تُقَرِّبُ الأَصْدِقَاءَ وَتَنْشُرُ المَعْرِفَةَ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا قَدْ تُضِيعُ الوَقْتَ وَتُشَتِّتُ التَّرْكِيزَ. عَلَى سَبِيلِ المِثَالِ، كَثِيرٌ مِنَ الطُّلَّابِ يَسْهَرُونَ عَلَى الشَّاشَاتِ. أَلَا تَتَّفِقُ مَعِي أَنَّ التَّوَازُنَ هُوَ الحَلُّ؟ وَلَوِ اسْتَخْدَمْنَاهَا بِوَعْيٍ، لَاسْتَفَدْنَا مِنْهَا كَثِيرًا. وَخِتَامًا، أَرَى أَنَّ الفَائِدَةَ تَعْتَمِدُ عَلَى كَيْفِيَّةِ الاِسْتِخْدَامِ لَا عَلَى الوَسِيلَةِ نَفْسِهَا.
