Task

Write about 130–140 words: an email to an Arabic-speaking friend about your plans for the summer holiday. Develop: where you will go, who with, what you will do, and why you are excited.

عَزِيزِي يُوسُفُ، حَيَّاكَ اللَّهُ! أَكْتُبُ إِلَيْكَ لِأُخْبِرَكَ بِخُطَطِي لِلْعُطْلَةِ. سَأُسَافِرُ إِلَى الأُرْدُنِّ مَعَ عَائِلَتِي فِي أَغُسْطُسَ لِأَنَّنِي أَحْلُمُ بِزِيَارَةِ البَتْرَاءِ مُنْذُ زَمَنٍ. سَنَتَجَوَّلُ فِي الآثَارِ وَنُجَرِّبُ الطَّعَامَ المَحَلِّيَّ. صَحِيحٌ أَنَّ الطَّقْسَ سَيَكُونُ حَارًّا، غَيْرَ أَنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَنْ يُفْسِدَ مُتْعَتَنَا. فِي المَاضِي زُرْتُ البَحْرَ فَقَطْ، أَمَّا هٰذَا العَامَ فَسَأَكْتَشِفُ التَّارِيخَ. أَنَا مُتَحَمِّسٌ جِدًّا وَأَتَطَلَّعُ إِلَى أَنْ أُرْسِلَ لَكَ الصُّوَرَ. مَا خُطَطُكَ أَنْتَ؟ مَعَ خَالِصِ التَّحِيَّةِ، صَدِيقُكَ عُمَرُ.
