Twelve-question room sorter
Choose the room that best matches each object or object group.
Use يُوجَدُ and تُوجَدُصِفْ مَا يُوجَدُ فِي الغُرْفَةِ
The verb agrees with the grammatical gender of the item that follows.
| Masculine item | Feminine item | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| فِي غُرْفَةِ النَّوْمِ يُوجَدُ سَرِيرٌ. | فِي غُرْفَةِ النَّوْمِ تُوجَدُ خِزَانَةٌ. | يُوجَدُ before a masculine singular; تُوجَدُ before a feminine singular. |
| فِي غُرْفَةِ الجُلُوسِ يُوجَدُ تِلْفَازٌ. | فِي غُرْفَةِ الجُلُوسِ تُوجَدُ أَرِيكَةٌ. | Look at the item, not the room, to choose the verb. |
| فِي الحَمَّامِ يُوجَدُ حَوْضٌ. | فِي الحَمَّامِ تُوجَدُ مِرْآةٌ. | The room is only the location phrase. |
فِي غُرْفَتِي سَرِيرٌ وَخِزَانَةٌ.
You may omit the verb in a simple location sentence. The meaning remains “In my room there is a bed and a wardrobe.”
فِي الغُرْفَةِ تُوجَدُ كَرَاسِي كَثِيرَةٌ.
Non-human plurals commonly behave as feminine singular for agreement, so تُوجَدُ and a feminine singular adjective are used.
