الاِسْتِمَاعُ إِلَى القَرَائِنِ النَّحْوِيَّةِ وَالضَّمَائِرِ
Listening accuracy improves when learners know what form to expect. Question words predict the information type, while verb prefixes and suffixes reveal gender, person and reference.
What does the structure communicate?
Which word or ending changes?
What must match the noun or person?
Can you use it with new vocabulary?
Expect a time duration.
Hear the feminine command ending.
The suffix identifies the reference.
The contrast changes the overall judgement.
أَيْنَ / مَتَى / كَيْفَ / كَمْ / لِمَاذَا
Before listening, identify whether the answer must be a place, time, transport, number or reason.
ـْ / ـي / ـوا
Direction endings identify whether the speaker addresses one male, one female or a group.
ثَمَنُهُ / ثَمَنُهَا
The suffix tells you whether the price refers to a masculine or feminine item.
لٰكِنَّ / بَيْنَمَا / أَيْضًا
A contrast word often signals that the second detail corrects or limits the first.
| Cue | Expect | Example |
|---|---|---|
| أَيْنَ | place | فِي المَرْكَزِ |
| كَمْ | number/price/duration | عِشْرُونَ دِينَارًا |
| لِمَاذَا | reason | لِأَنَّهُ سَرِيعٌ |
Successful listening is active: questions are read first, evidence is anticipated and answers are checked against the whole utterance.
The listening script appears directly beneath the task for self-correction after the assessed attempt; no separate answer-key reveal is needed.
Grammar laboratory
Every answer checks a stated rule, change or agreement decision.
Select · build · explain
Use the live builder first, then complete three independent builder missions. Check meaning, verb form, agreement and word order.

Strong learners do not only recognise an error: they identify the system and repair it.
Choosing the first option containing a heard word.
Check the full clause and any contrast that follows.
Matching one word is not enough evidence.
Ignoring ـي / ـوا command endings.
Use the ending to identify the addressee.
The ending is meaningful listening evidence.
Treating كَمْ only as “how many”.
Check whether the question asks price, duration or quantity.
The surrounding noun determines the meaning.

Predict · listen twice · verify
Read the questions first. Listen once for the main message and again for the exact detail.
Which place, direction, transport, time, price or opinion might you hear?
Catch the speaker, setting and overall message.
Confirm the exact detail and reject close distractors.

Create a listening strategy record for three questions and explain the evidence for each answer.
