F5 grammar and sentence-building review
Revisit the structures that carry the unit: present-tense forms, agreement, reasons, comparison, symptom language, duration and advice with أَنْ.
Present-tense communication
آكُلُ · أَشْرَبُ · أُفَضِّلُ · أَتَنَاوَلُ
Choose the person form before adding the food, drink or meal. Use تُـ for many “you/she” forms and يُـ for many “he” forms.
Reasons and agreement
لِأَنَّهُ + مُذَكَّرٌ · لِأَنَّهَا + مُؤَنَّثٌ
The pronoun and adjective agree with the noun being described, not with the speaker.
Symptoms and duration
عِنْدِي... · أَشْعُرُ بِـ... · مُنْذُ...
Keep each structure complete. Add the body part with فِي and the duration with مُنْذُ.
Advice with أَنْ
يَجِبُ أَنْ + فِعْلٌ · مِنَ الأَفْضَلِ أَنْ + فِعْلٌ
Use a verb after أَنْ. Learn the high-frequency advice forms as complete chunks.
| Function | Core structure | Developed example |
|---|---|---|

Part D · 15 marks
Speaking assessment
Use the cards as prompts, not scripts. Be ready to respond to natural follow-up questions.
At a restaurant: greet the waiter, ask about a dish, order food and a drink, respond to one clarification and ask for the bill.
At the doctor: describe a symptom and body part, say how long it has lasted, answer a question and respond to advice.
Food and health: describe your meals, give a justified preference, explain healthy habits and identify one future target.
Possible follow-up questions
