لِلْقِرَاءَةِ خُطَّةٌ مِنْ ثَلَاثِ خُطُوَاتٍ. أَوَّلًا، أَقْرَأُ النَّصَّ بِسُرْعَةٍ لِأَفْهَمَ الفِكْرَةَ العَامَّةَ. ثَانِيًا، أَقْرَأُ كُلَّ سُؤَالٍ وَأَبْحَثُ عَنِ الدَّلِيلِ فِي الفِقْرَةِ المُنَاسِبَةِ وَأَضَعُ تَحْتَهُ خَطًّا. ثَالِثًا، أُجِيبُ بِمَا يَطْلُبُهُ السُّؤَالُ فَقَطْ، وَأُعِيدُ الصِّيَاغَةَ إِذَا طُلِبَ (بِأُسْلُوبِكَ). إِذَا وَجَدْتُ كَلِمَةً صَعْبَةً، أُخَمِّنُ مَعْنَاهَا مِنَ السِّيَاقِ. سَأُرَاجِعُ أَنْوَاعَ الأَسْئِلَةِ حَتَّى أَعْرِفَ مَا يَطْلُبُهُ كُلُّ نَوْعٍ.
