يَأْتِي عِيدُ الفِطْرِ بَعْدَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ.Eid al-Fitr comes after Ramadan.

يَحْتَفِلُ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ المُسْلِمِينَ بِعِيدِ الأَضْحَى.Many Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha.

تَحْتَفِلُ مُجْتَمَعَاتٌ مَسِيحِيَّةٌ عَرَبِيَّةٌ بِعِيدِ المِيلَادِ.Arab Christian communities celebrate Christmas.

تَحْتَفِلُ مُجْتَمَعَاتٌ مَسِيحِيَّةٌ بِعِيدِ القِيَامَةِ.Christian communities celebrate Easter.

يَتَنَاوَلُ الصَّائِمُونَ الإِفْطَارَ بَعْدَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ.People fasting have iftar after sunset.

يُتَنَاوَلُ السَّحُورُ قَبْلَ الفَجْرِ.Suhoor is eaten before dawn.

تُقَامُ صَلَاةُ العِيدِ فِي صَبَاحِ العِيدِ.Eid prayer is held on the morning of Eid.

يَحْتَفِلُ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ بِبِدَايَةِ عَامٍ جَدِيدٍ.Many people celebrate the beginning of a new year.

تُغْلَقُ بَعْضُ المَدَارِسِ وَالمَكَاتِبِ فِي العُطْلَةِ الرَّسْمِيَّةِ.Some schools and offices close on a public holiday.

تَحْتَفِلُ الدَّوْلَةُ بِتَارِيخِهَا فِي العُطْلَةِ الوَطَنِيَّةِ.A country celebrates its history on a national holiday.

نَقُولُ «عِيدُ مِيلَادٍ سَعِيدٌ» فِي هَذِهِ المُنَاسَبَةِ.We say “Happy birthday” on this occasion.

حَفْلُ التَّخَرُّجِ مُنَاسَبَةٌ خَاصَّةٌ.A graduation ceremony is a special occasion.

تُطْلَقُ الأَلْعَابُ النَّارِيَّةُ فِي بَعْضِ الاحْتِفَالَاتِ.Fireworks are set off at some celebrations.

يُعْطِي بَعْضُ الكِبَارِ الأَطْفَالَ عِيدِيَّةً.Some adults give children an Eid gift or money.

يَرْمُزُ الهِلَالُ إِلَى بِدَايَةِ شَهْرٍ قَمَرِيٍّ.The crescent can mark the beginning of a lunar month.

تُزَيَّنُ بَعْضُ الشَّوَارِعِ بِالفَوَانِيسِ فِي رَمَضَانَ.Some streets are decorated with lanterns during Ramadan.

يَحْتَفِلُ النَّاسُ بِالمُنَاسَبَاتِ بِطُرُقٍ مُخْتَلِفَةٍ.People celebrate occasions in different ways.

يُعْطِي الضَّيْفُ هَدِيَّةً لِصَاحِبِ المُنَاسَبَةِ.The guest gives a gift to the person celebrating.

يُزَيَّنُ المَكَانُ بِالأَضْوَاءِ.The place is decorated with lights.

تُتَبَادَلُ التَّهَانِي فِي المُنَاسَبَاتِ.Congratulations are exchanged on special occasions.

تَجْمَعُ المَهْرَجَانَاتُ الثَّقَافِيَّةُ بَيْنَ الفَنِّ وَالمُوسِيقَى وَالتُّرَاثِ.Cultural festivals combine art, music and heritage.

تُقَدَّمُ عُرُوضٌ مُوسِيقِيَّةٌ وَمَسْرَحِيَّةٌ فِي المَهْرَجَانِ.Musical and theatrical performances are presented at the festival.
