تُشِيرُ دِرَاسَةٌ حَدِيثَةٌ إِلَى أَنَّ القِرَاءَةَ بَيْنَ الشَّبَابِ قَدْ تَرَاجَعَتْ بِسَبَبِ الشَّاشَاتِ. غَيْرَ أَنَّ الكَاتِبَ يَرَى أَنَّ المُشْكِلَةَ لَيْسَتْ فِي التِّقْنِيَّةِ نَفْسِهَا، بَلْ فِي طَرِيقَةِ اسْتِخْدَامِهَا. وَيَقْتَرِحُ أَنْ تُخَصِّصَ المَدَارِسُ وَقْتًا يَوْمِيًّا لِلْقِرَاءَةِ الحُرَّةِ، لِأَنَّ العَادَةَ تُبْنَى بِالتَّكْرَارِ لَا بِالإِجْبَارِ. وَيَخْتِمُ بِأَنَّ القَارِئَ الجَيِّدَ يُصْبِحُ غَالِبًا كَاتِبًا أَفْضَلَ.
